		<description>That&#039;s really interesting. This is my first major exposure to deer thus the only size I know. :)  But even so I have been surprised by how wee the fawns can be. I almost mistook one of them for a large hare or smallish dog! </description>

		<description>I have to admit I was somewhat used to the deer by the time I moved here.  There are actually a ton of deer in Southern Alberta, even in the cities.  The thing I noticed most in the Gulf Islands is how small they are though (different species).  A lot of visitors to the islands mistake adult deer for juveniles -- but that&#039;s really how big they get!
