The beginning of summer just isn’t the right time to start new projects, especially projects that require you to stay indoors at a computer.  Now that we’re into October, it’s time to give this site a little TLC.

A number of changes & new features

You might have noticed the new look.  It’s still a work in progress.  It’s a little too sterile for the purpose of DiscoverGulfIslands, but I think it has nice bones and will make for a good starting point.  There are a few new categories that have been added, most notably the video one, so hopefully we’ll be adding some content to fill out those areas soon.

We’ve also added in the ability to share/bookmark posts easily with others.  If you like something we’ve written, why not send it on to some others?

Last but not least, you can sign up to receive e-mail updates, so that anytime we post something new, you’ll receive a message from us.

Hope you like what you see, and that we’re headed in the right direction here.  We’re still looking for folks that want to contribute, so if you live on Galiano, Mayne, Pender, Saltspring or Saturna and feel like writing the occasional post, please get in touch.
